Irelands Scott Evan's has secured a quarter-final of the Dutch Open 2012. Scott beat German player Ari Trisnanto in the Last round of 64 followed by Marcel Reuter of Germany in the last round of 32. This set up a last 16 Match with Sweden's Gabriel Ulldahl, despite losing the opening set 21-12 the Irish number one World Ranked 72 was once more able to find his winning 21-14, 21-17.

In the ladies singles Irish number one Chloe Magee World beat Laura Wich of Germany in the last round of 32. This set up a last 16 match with Line Kjearsfeldt of Denmark. Chloe again went through winning 21-16 21-12. Next up for Chloe will be a match up with Holland's Judith Meulendijks.
