World Para Championships Fast Approach

Less than one month to go before team Ireland set off for the World Para Championships, Dortmund Germany from November 5th- 10th. This year’s tournament has attracted a record number of competitors with players from 39 different countries competing for their respective World Championship title.

Representing Ireland at the tournament are; Niall McVeigh, Luke Irvine, Andrew Moorcroft, Emma Farnham, Stephen Halpin, Chris Stewart, Michael Smith.  

Team Ireland has had excellent preparation in the lead up to the championships, with players competing in numerous different tournaments to fine tune their skills for the championships, as well as attending Badminton Ireland’s Para Badminton Squad held in Marino Institute of Education last month which was led by Ireland's National coach Daniel Magee.
