Podium finish for Sian Hurst in South Africa

There were a number of top performances from Irish competitors at the Europe Africa Middle East Wakeboard Championships in South Africa last weekend. Some of the leading riders in the world were among the 87 athletes from 11 countries competing in these championships.

Best Irish performance came from young Sian Hurst. She won the bronze medal in the Junior Ladies. In the Junior Men’s Paul Johnston narrowly missed a podium place finishing in 4th place. In the team competition Ireland finished a creditable 5th.
