With the
annual Vodafone Awards Dinner fast approaching there are some prestigious
awards still to be decided.
Both the Athlete of the Year
and Race of the Year has a peer
voting component so here’s your chance to play a part in deciding the recipient
of these awards. This year we have also added the Junior Athlete of the Year
award which can also has a peer voting component and will be presented at the Junior Awards Presentation.
Voting
closes at 5pm on Friday 11th October 2013.
To vote
you must be a current Triathlon Ireland member and you may only vote once.
ATHLETE OF THE YEAR
This
award is to recognise the achievements of a Triathlon Ireland athlete on the
international triathlon stage within the High Performance or Age Group scene.
This will be a perpetual award that will be made annually at the Vodafone
Awards Dinner. The winner will be decided by a combination of peer/triathlon
community voting and further criteria established by Triathlon Ireland's High Performance Staff (incl
race results, ITU/Olympic rankings).
The 2013
nominees for this award have all achieved great things in 2013. Please vote in

JUNIOR ATHLETE OF THE YEAR
This
award is to recognise the achievements of a Triathlon Ireland Junior athlete on the domestic and
international triathlon stage within the Junior High Performance Program.
This will be a perpetual award that will be made annually at the Junior Awards Presentation. The winner will be decided by a combination of peer/triathlon
community voting and further criteria established by Triathlon Ireland's High Performance Staff (incl
race results, ITU rankings & training progression).
RACE OF THE YEAR
This
award is to recognise the staging of quality events within the Triathlon
Ireland calendar. This will be a perpetual award that will be made annually at
the Vodafone Awards Dinner. The winner will be decided by a combination of
peer/triathlon community voting and further criteria established by Triathlon
Ireland (incl timely provision of results, race referee/TD reports/general
feedback from members/staff).
