A content delivery network (CDN) is a large distributed system deployed in multiple data centres in the Internet. The goal of a CDN is to serve content to end-users with high availability and high performance. CDNs serve a large fraction of the Internet content today, including web objects (text, graphics, URLs and scripts), downloadable objects (media files, software, documents), applications (e-commerce, portals), media, on-demand streaming media, and social networks.

pTools has three points of presence in Ireland, Germany and Canada and is currently in the process of sourcing new locations worldwide.

By having data cached in these systems, loading time is greatly reduced.

We also understand the need for territoriality in certain circumstances and work with SunGard, Amazon Web Services, Terremark and Rackspace.
