Tonight's Ireland v West Indies T20 Showdown to be Live Streamed

Following Ireland's win in the first Twenty20 International in Sabina Park on Wednesday night, the Boys in Green have a chance to make history this evening with a first series win over a Full Member Nation when they take on the reigning World Champions, the West Indies in Jamaica this evening. (Starting at 7pm. UK/Ireland time)

With such global interest in the matches, and thanks to the support of the ICC Development Programme, the remaining two matches in the series will be Live Streamed online with a high quality 5 camera production being put in place at Sabina Park. The stream will go out on the Cricket Ireland Website - www.cricketireland.ie via YouTube www.youtube.com/cricketirelandtv. This means cricket fans from right across the world will be able to log on and catch every ball tonight from Jamaica.

Cricket Ireland Chief Executive Warren Deutrom said: "This is fantastic news for cricket fans everywhere with a thrilling two matches coming up in Jamaica. "We had record numbers of nearly 300,000 people via YouTube watch the Pakistan series from Dublin in May and I've no doubt there will be great interest again tonight on a what is a very big weekend for Irish sport."

Ireland's Man of the Match from Wednesday's first match Ed Joyce is targeting another win this evening in what would represent a first series win for Ireland over full member opposition.
And that opportunity is not lost on the 35-year-old left-hander who will make his 100th appearance in Ireland colours this evening.

"It's absolutely possible, the way we played in the first game proved to a lot of the younger players in the squad that we can beat the world champions and that should give us huge confidence.
"It would be lovely to win 2-0, especially as we're probably a slightly better 50-over side than a 20-over side."

"We came so close to beating Pakistan in a series last year and we've dominated the associate scene for a while so it would be nice to get a big win against a major cricket nation."
So Ireland will be hoping for another famous day this evening in Sabina Park and the Twenty20 action begins tonight at 7pm (UK/Ireland time) with the ODI on Sunday at 1:30pm (UK/Ireland).
