Special Olympics Ireland has grown to an organisation with more than 10,000 registered athletes and almost 400 clubs.

Since 1999, over €20 million has been invested by the Irish Public through the Irish Sports Council to support the development of athletes with intellectual disabilities across Ireland.

Through this investment Special Olympics Ireland enables athletes to achieve and win not only in sport but in life too. The commitment and dedication of the athletes, coaches and management team has been immense. The very best of luck to all athletes participating in the games.
