The Irish players bowed out of Quarter finals of Men Doubles at the 2014 Swedish Open.

Ireland had two players competing at the 2014 Swedish Open. In the men singles event, 19 year old Jonathan Dolan lost out in a close three set match with Jacob Nilsson of Sweden.

The Irish had a good start to the men's doubles as Jonathan with his partner Sam Magee beat Mathew Fogarty and Bjorn Seguin of USA 21-11 21-6. Then the Irish followed this with a great win over Niclas Nohr and Nikolaj Overgaard of Denmark 18-21 21-12 21-17.

This set up a quarter final against the number 3 seeds Jelle Maas and Jacco Arends of Holland but this proved to be one round too far for the Irish as they bowed out in two sets 21-15 21-9.

Another good result for the Irish pair in the first few months competing together.
