Sport Ireland named Great Place to Work for third consecutive year
Sport Ireland has been named as one of Ireland’s Great Places to Work for the third consecutive year.
Sport Ireland, the authority tasked with the development of sport in Ireland, saw its overall scores increase from last year, going from 72 to 79.
Sport Ireland CEO Dr Úna May said: “I’m enormously proud of our team at Sport Ireland, it’s a great credit to them that we’ve been recognised as a Great Place to Work for the third year in a row.
“In 2024, while the organisation grew and welcomed a lot of new team members, there were increased demands and significant change. Throughout this the team has consistently risen to the challenges with resilience and determination.
“This achievement reflects the culture we have built together — one that supports and inspires everyone to give their best.
“I’d like to thank everyone for their hard work, adaptability, and dedication. I’m very proud to lead such a strong team, and I’m looking forward to all that we’ll accomplish together in 2025.
“This certification is very welcome, but equally important is the valuable feedback we’ve received. This will allow us to put a plan in place to improve things even further.”
Great Place to Work annually selects organisations in Ireland that have committed to making their business a Great Place to Work. The certification comes following a thorough and independent analysis conducted by Great Place to Work® Institute Ireland. Certification is awarded through capturing anonymous and direct feedback about the organisation from their employees.
Director of Human Resources for Sport Ireland, Derek Conway said: “We’re very proud to be recognised as a Great Place to Work for the third consecutive year.
“This achievement is a testament to the dedication, collaboration, and commitment of our incredible team at Sport Ireland. Over the past three years, we’ve seen significant improvements in the feedback we’ve received, and it’s clear that it’s our people who make Sport Ireland such a great place to work. We’d like to thank everyone for their hard work, passion, and for driving such a positive and supportive culture.
“As we celebrate again, we look forward to building on this progress. We will review the feedback and start to ensure Sport Ireland becomes an even greater place to work in 2025 and beyond.”
