Sport Ireland awarded Certification as one of the Great Places to Work in Ireland

Sport Ireland is delighted to announce its official certification as one of Ireland’s Great Places to Work. It is a truly proud occasion for Sport Ireland as it is the first time it has achieved this certification. 

Speaking about the announcement CEO of Sport Ireland Dr Úna May said: “I am immensely proud and honoured that Sport Ireland has been certified as a Great Place to Work. It is a fantastic accolade for everyone who has created a great workplace and I want to acknowledge their contribution to this achievement. Sport Ireland has a hugely talented and passionate team and I look forward to building on this success with them by using this opportunity to continue to improve.”   

Great Place to Work annually selects organisations in Ireland that have committed to making their business a Great Place to Work. The certification comes following a thorough and independent analysis conducted by Great Place to Work® Institute Ireland. Adding further to the award is that certification is awarded through capturing anonymous and direct feedback about the organisation from their employees.  

Director of Human Resources for Sport Ireland, Derek Conway said: “To be recognised by our colleagues and certified as a Great Place to Work for the first time is a very proud occasion and something that collectively we can celebrate together. Going forward this recognition allows us to continue to lead from the front and has also provided us with a standard for ourselves that we want to continue to reach every year.”
