Snooker- 2007 European Amateur Championships, Carlow

Belgium’s Kevin Van Hove captured the 2007 European Men’s Amateur Snooker Championships in Carlow beating Ireland’s Rodney Goggins 7 frames to 2 in the Final. Kevin who won a titanic semi-final against Ireland’s Vincent Muldoon proved too strong for Rodney and is a worthy champion.

Vincent Muldoon won his 3rd place match 5 frames to 3 against Belgium’s Bjorn Haneveer. By claiming 3rd place Vincent has won a place on the main tour and will be competing in the qualifiers for the Shanghai Open in Prestatyn next week.

England’s Reanne Evans, the World Professional Champion, became European Ladies Champion with an impressive 5 frames to 2 win over defending European Ladies Champion Wendy Jans.

Darren Morgan won the Master’s Title beating Northern Ireland’s Kieran Mc Mahon 5 frames to 2 in the final.
