Sligo Retirees blaze a trail for the 2012 An Post Tour of Sligo

A group of retirees from local cycling clubs ةire سg and Innisfree Wheelers in Sligo are blazing a trail on their saddles as they take to the roads and enjoy the wonderful sport of cycling. This group of enthusiastic retirees are bucking the trend among their peers, donning their lycra and getting together at least three mornings a week to cover routes up to 80km a time.

They are enjoying the freedom that retirement allows them by getting the chance to cycle as individuals or in groups at any time, on any day!"A new lease of life" is how one of the cyclists described this fantastic hobby and this sentiment is shared by her like-minded fellow 'older' cyclists.

The group is gearing up for the 2012 An Post Tour of Sligo on the 5th & 6th May which, now in its fourth year, is proving a highlight among the local cycling community.
