Show Your Support for Team Ireland on RTE

With the Olympics only days away, show your support for Team Ireland on RTة as the athletes go for gold at London 2012. Send us your messages to inspire and encourage Ireland's top athletes as they compete in one of the biggest sporting events of their lives.


The London 2012 Olympic Games will see the most diverse Irish team in Olympic history, with 14 sports represented as Irish athletes compete in athletics, badminton, boxing, canoeing, cycling, equestrian, gymnastics, judo, modern pentathlon, rowing, sailing, shooting, swimming and triathlon. We are asking everyone to get involved and show Ireland's athletes that the nation is behind them.


Up to 2,300 hours of coverage of the 2012 London Olympics will be available to access on RTة across RTة Television, RTة Radio and RTة Digital.


So send us photos of you supporting Team Ireland - holding a sign or a message for the team or your favourite Olympic athlete; email a short video message; or tweet @RTELondon2012. Your message could be included in RTة Sport's television coverage of the London 2012 Opening Ceremony on July 27th

How to submit your message:

  • Facebook: Post an image or message to Team Ireland on www.facebook.com/rtesport (please do not post videos).
  • Tweets: Tweet your message to @RTELondon2012 using #GoTeamIreland or #RTE2012
  • Email: You can email photos and video clips to goteamireland@rte.ie, please include your full name, contact details and where you are from.


Photos should be landscape, no more than 1MB. Videos Clips (no longer than 20 seconds) should be filmed in landscape only; make sure you film in good light; record in the highest quality format possible for your device. Please do not include any music. Or email us a link to your video on YouTube.


For your message to be considered for inclusion in the Opening Ceremony programme please submit by Thursday 26th July
