Show Jumping Splaine Confirms Team For Todays Nations Cup Global Final

30 Sep 2013

Irish show jumping team manager Robert Splaine has announced an unchanged team for the final round of the global Nations' Cup Final today (Sunday) when the world's top eight nations will battle it out for the new Furusiyya trophy and 1.5 million euro in prize money.

Ireland lines out as fourth of the teams taking part, and Splaine has confirmed he will use the same four riders and horses who ensured Ireland qualified for the final in Friday's 18-nation first round at Barcelona, Spain.

Ireland's team, in jumping order, is:
Cameron Hanley/Antello Z
Denis Lynch/All Star
Shane Breen/Balloon
Billy Twomey/Tinka's Serenade.

Today's leg of the Final starts at 2.30pm Irish time, and is a one-round competition with a jump-off, if required, to decide first place.
