ROWING Skibbereen Rowing Club the outstanding winners at National Head of the River competition in Cork today

Skibbereen Rowing Club were the main winners at Rowing Ireland's National Head of the River competition held in Cork today with Mark O'Donovan and Richard Coakley taking first and second place respectively in the men's single sculls. Richard Coakley and Paul O'Donovan went on to take first place in the men's double sculls with a time of 11 minutes giving Skibbereen Rowing Club an excellent return for the day.

Sheila Clavin (St. Michael's Rowing Club, Limerick) was another outstanding performer winning the women's single sculls title with a time of 13.34 minutes and then went on to win the double sculls with partner Dympna Kelly (Carrick on Shannon) with a time of 12.15.
