Role Of The Governing Body

23 Jul 2014

National Governing Bodies of Sport play a pivotal role in ensuring their membership are informed and educated about anti-doping rules, and ensuring that all athletes and athlete support personnel participate in an environment that is drug-free and promotes the spirit of sport. Each NGB has appointed an anti-doping officer (ADO). The ADO has numerous responsibilities such as education of members about doping in sport, assisting with the testing programme by providing a national calendar with events suitable to testing.
