RESEARCH Results of the Children's Sport Participation and Physical Activity Study

"The Irish Sports Council would like to congratulate the winners of the survey draw it held as part of its 'Children's Sport Participation and Physical Activity Study'. As part of this study, sports volunteers and administrators of sports clubs who work with children were surveyed on their attitudes to issues in the area of children's sport.

The surveys were administered during the Summer with a very positive response with 1,400 people completing the surveys. All respondents were entered into a draw for a prize which included a weekend away for a sports team to the Breaffy Sports Hotel in Mayo and three €100 vouchers for Champion Sports.

The Irish Sports Council would like to thank the both companies for their support of the study by supplying these excellent prizes. The winners are listed below;

The results of the volunteer study will be published shortly as part of the larger research study examining the activity levels of almost 5,400 Irish school children aged 10-18 years.
