Rallying: Loeb wins Cork ‘20’ International Rally 2007

Cork International Rally

Current World Rally Champion Sebastian Loeb won the Cork “20” International Rally over the weekend.

Loeb with his co-driver Daniel Elena brought their new Cirtoen 4 to an easy victory over 2nd placed Dani Sordo/Mark Marti in their Citroen Xsara.

Mark Higgins/ Rory Kennedy (Subaru WRC) finished in 3rd place over 2minuted behind Sordo. Eugene Donnelly/Paul Kiely (Subaru) finished 4th to clinch the Irish Tarmac crown for the fourth successive year.

Colm Murphy (Subaru) won the Group N to clinch the showroom title in the Irish Tarmac Championship and Phil Collins (Escort) won the National title. The other winners were Damien McCarthy (Honda) in the Junior category and Todd Falvey (Porche 911) in the Historics.
