Phoenix Junior Thrives in North Dublin

Phoenix Badminton club is located in Baldoyle Badminton Centre on Mondays from 6pm-8pm. This particular club is one of the largest junior clubs in North Dublin with approximately 70 junior members this season. Phoenix have 9 teams competing across  the U11, U13,U15,U17  age groups in the Dublin leagues and hoping to progress onto Leinster finals. Since its foundation in 2008 Phoenix have had many great players come through the ranks of the club going on to represent both Leinster and Ireland with the most notable being Sara Boyle who recently won her first senior title.

A club of this magnitude, needs a team of dedicated individuals and this is club is certainly not short of this. Chairperson of the club Margaret Corcoran is the driving force behind the development of the club since its establishment in 2008, as well as her hard working, dedicated committee. Phoenix are keen to have a high coach to player ratio, having no less than 8 coaches on one evening in order to maintain a high level of coaching across all age groups, in addition to this the club is now beginning to start to follow badminton Ireland's teicnic and shuttle time resources, to take the club on to the next level.
