Paul Stott Jr wins the IDM Bucharest International Bowling Open 2011

Paul Stott Jr. of Ireland remained undefeated in the single-elimination match play finals of the IDM Bucharest International Bowling Open 2011 en route to winning the event. In the title match on Sunday, Nov. 27, Stott, seeded second defeated top seeded Steve Miller of England, two-games-to-none, at IDM Club in Bucharest, Romania. In the semi-finals Stott defeated the defending champion, Brian Voss, United States, to eliminate the PBA Hall of Famer and 25 time PBA champion.


A total of 95 bowlers from 12 countries played in the IDM Bucharest International Bowling Open 2011 which was held from Nov. 21st to 27th at the IDM Club, a 14-lane centre with Brunswick equipment, in Bucharest, Romania. This is Paul's first victory in a European Open event and follows on from some recent good finishes on the European circuit in 2011. Paul is the current Irish Tenpin Bowling Association (ITBA) Adult national champion. He has represented Ireland at Junior & Youth levels and is a current member of the Adult Team Ireland squad where he recently won the Singles, Doubles and Masters Gold Medals at the 2011 Adult Triple Crown in Norwich, England.
