PARTICIPATION It's back! The An Post Meath Heritage Cycle Tour 2010

06 Jul 2010

So get out on your bike and prepare for the tour of all tours in Meath.

Whether you are a recreational cyclist or a would be Tour de France competitor, this is the event for you. The event takes place on Sunday 25th July 2010.

Following on from a very successful tour in 2009, Meath LSP are delighted to join forces yet again with An Post, Irish Sports Council, Cycling clubs from Meath, Meath County Council, Meath Tourism, Civil Defence and the Gardai in bringing you the An Post Meath Heritage Cycle Tour 2010.

New to the event this year, will be the 10km Family Spin. This is aimed at families and younger participants and will be held in the environs of Trim, it should be accessible to anyone over the age of ten who cycles regularly.

Our other 3 routes remain the same in distances but may involve slight route changes: The 40km Tara Loop is a relatively flat route (aside from the Hill of Tara) and is suitable for the recreational cyclist. The 100km Royal Tour is a bit more challenging, participants would need a good level of fitness. The 160km Royal Challenge is for the experienced cyclists only. To complete the challenge, you will need to be very fit and not intimidated by hills!
