OLYMPICS Sutherland Secures Third Medal for Ireland

Middleweight Darren Sutherland has joined team mates Kenneth Egan and Paddy Barnes in guaranteeing another boxing medal for Ireland after an incredible performance against Venezuelan Alfonzo Blanco Parra.

Blanco Parra, a silver medalist at last year's World Championship was outscored 3-0, 3-1, 3-0, and 2-0 over the four rounds and had no answer to Sutherland's strength and accuracy.

The Dubliner now advances to the semi-final and will face Britain's James DeGale.
