OLYMPICS Egan seals second Olympic medal

Following the earlier success of Paddy Barnes, Team Captain Kenneth Egan guaranteed a second Olympic medal for Ireland after an emphatic 8-0 win over Brazilian Washington Silva.

Light heavyweight Egan led from the start and soon established a 3-0 lead in the first round which he extended in rounds three and four without reply.

Egan now advances to the semi-final and will face Britain's Tony Jefferies.
