Official eircom League of Ireland website launched
Thursday, March 8th, 2007
The Football Association of Ireland (FAI) is delighted to announce the launch of a dedicated eircom League of Ireland website, which went online today (Thursday, March 8th).
The website – www.eircomloi.ie – will offer supporters all the latest news from the eircom League of Ireland. It will be updated several times a day, offering news, features, match reports and much more.
Designed by Dublin-based web designers Webfactory, eircomloi.ie is the first time the league has had its own dedicated website. As well as news and features relating to the league, press releases will also be added to the website, making the site an invaluable resource for journalists.
The first phase of the website was launched today, to coincide with the beginning of the 2007 season tonight. Lots of new features will be added to the site over the coming weeks, as the site grows and expands.
The website is the latest initiative aimed at boosting the profile of the eircom League of Ireland. A new marketing initiative has seen advertisements in newspapers and on radio promoting this weekend’s fixtures. Meanwhile, a record number of live televised fixtures this season will see the league receive unprecedented television profile.
