Magees beat 8th seeds

Ireland's top mixed pair Chloe Magee and Sam Magee kicked of their season with a great start beating the 8th seeds from Singapore at the French Super Series event in Paris 21-18 22-20. In the last 16 the Irish pair play the Thailand second pair.

Sam Magee commented "It was a great win against a pair with good results in recent months. Our goal is to regularly be in the World top 16 at the Super Series and it is great to be there in our first event. Hopefully tomorrow we will make it the top 8."

The Irish pair are next on court at 1030 Thursday morning.
