Kelly Proper Withdraws From European Team Championships

Kelly Proper (Ferrybank AC) has been forced to withdraw from this weekend's European Team Championships (1st League) in Crete due to illness. The Waterford athlete will be replaced on the team by Amy Foster (City of Lisburn AC) who is already selected for the 100m. Foster has been in good early season form recording times of 11.41 (100m) and 23.62 (200m) already this year.

The team event in Crete begins tomorrow (20th June) with the Irish team competing against Greece, Belgium, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Switzerland and Turkey. Ireland placed seventh in this event last year when the competition was held in Tallinn, Estonia.
