JUDO GB World Cup

Lisa Kearney made Irish Judo history last weekend at the GB World Cup in Bermingham when she won the Silver Medal in the 48kg category. This is the first time that Ireland has reached a final of the World Cup and 15 years since Ireland last won a medal at a World Cup event.

This was a fantastic result for Lisa, particularly as this was her first senior event at this level in two years and the first time at her new weight category.

Lisa received an allocation of €5,000 (Developmental Category) under the 2009 International Carding Scheme.
