IRISH YOUNG RIDER EVENTING TEAM ALSO MOVE UP TO SECOND AT EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Gain Horse feeds Irish Young rider (U21) eventing team have emulated their junior counterparts by moving up to 2nd place after the today's Cross Country phase of European Championships in Jardy in France.  

The team were lying 7th after dressage but with wet conditions in France there were huge problems on the Cross Country course. Irish riders Michelle Kenny, David Hannigan and Melanie Young produced gritty displays to push Ireland into the team silver medal position with tomorrow's show jumping phase still to come.

Irish individual rider Tony Kennedy produced one of the few clear rounds inside the time to move into 10th place individually.

The Irish team is managed by Sally Corscadden with dressage coach Heike Holstien, Show Jumping Coach Ian Fearon and Team Vet Will Lalor.
