05 Sep 2014

Cricket Ireland is partnering with QuipuTV, Cricket Scotland, and ICC Europe to live stream all three of Ireland's One Day Internationals against Scotland next week.

The coverage will be webcast live through Cricket Ireland's YouTube Channel and also on the websites of both countries www.cricketireland.ie and www.cricketscotland.com

Cricket Ireland CEO Warren Deutrom welcomed the broadcasting initiative: "It's great news for supporters of both countries and Associate cricket fans across the world. We're grateful to ICC Europe for their support in making this venture possible, allowing a wider audience to view what should be a fascinating series between the two countries."

Jack McGill, Managing Director of Quipu TV added: "Ireland v Scotland provided the inspiration for QuipuTV's creation back in July 2011 and it's fantastic once again to be involved in bringing this great local rivalry to a global audience.

"It's been rewarding to watch coverage of Associates cricket grow in the last few years and I'm proud of the part QuipuTV has played in that. We hope that fans of both teams will continue to enjoy the benefits of livestreaming and digital coverage, and we look forward to hearing from them over the course of this ODI series."

Cricket Scotland CEO Roddy Smith echoed the sentiments of both saying: "We're delighted to enter into this joint venture with our traditional rivals, Ireland, in enabling cricketing supporters from around the globe to watch all three ODIs on the Cricket Scotland and Cricket Ireland websites.

The contribution made by ICC Europe to help both countries fund the cost of streaming these three matches should not be underestimated. They promise to be exciting encounters that should make for some compelling viewing."

Tickets for the matches are still available on www.cricketireland.ie and TicketMaster outlets nationwide.

The games take place on Monday September 8, Wednesday September 10, and Friday September 12 - all start at 10:15am.
