Ireland Announce Team for 9th World Deaf Golf Championships

Irish Deaf Golf Union has announced the Irish team for the forthcoming 9th World Deaf Golf Championship, which is being held in TSU, Japan from 8th to 12th October 2012.


Ireland will be represented by Geoffrey McCormack (Dublin), Don Conway (Tyrone), Peter Dalton (Dublin), Philip Quearney (Dublin) and Reggie Carroll (Laois). The team manager is John Bosco Conama.


Deaf Sports Ireland (DSI)Administrator/Sport Development officer, Paul Ryder, said, after having successful medal winners at the 8th World Deaf Championships in Scotland in 2010, DSI continues to support IDGU preparations for the championship by giving them 5,000 euro grant with support from Irish Sports Council.
