Ireland played their final game against France in Beerschot this morning as they fine tune their final preparations for the Olympic Qualifiers with another convincing 3-0 victory over France.

Ireland attacked from the start and in the first two minutes had created two chances through Niamh Small and Aine Connery but the French keeper did well. Ireland continued to press with the French keeper been further tested by Small and Lisa Jacob. Ireland took the lead in the 18 minute when after a cross from Nikki Symmons on the right gave Connery had an easy tap in to put Ireland 1 up. Ireland extended this lead in the 22nd minute when Megan Frazer finished well following good work by Lizzie Colvin. In the final ten minutes of the half a Michelle Harvey drag from PC was saved whilst a goal line clearance from another PC but the French defender denied Sargent's strike.

Early into the second half Ireland were 3 up after great work by Nikki Daly with her Loreto club mate Small finishing at the far post. Ireland continued to dominate with great steal on halfway line by Jacob beating the keeper but a retreating defender cleared off the line. Minutes later Small was wide with a reverse stick shot and a great cross by McCay was met by a diving touch from Jacob but went narrowly wide. Connery, McCay, Daly and Jacob all created further chances but the final score remained Ireland 3-0 France
