Golf Simon Thornton wins Irish PGA Championship

Newcastle, Co Down based Simon Thornton won the Irish PGA Championship at Seapoint Golf Club. Simon's winning total of 269, 19 under par, was a record for the Championship. Simon only recoded one bogey in his four rounds. Gary Murphy was runner-up on 275 and Des Smith and Seamas McGonagle, Dunfanaghy tied for third.Simon Thornton is supported by the Team Ireland Golf Trust.
