GOLF Irish amateur golfer Shane Lowry selected on Europe team for Bonallack Trophy

Best wishes to the reigning Irish Champion Shane Lowry, from Esker Hills Golf Club, a son of the former Offaly footballer, Brendan (member of the All Ireland winning team in 1982) who has been selected on the Europe  team to play against Asia/Pacific in the Bonallack Trophy match at Valderrama Golf Club on 25th – 27th April.

Shane will be competing in the Portuguese and Spanish Open Championships in the coming weeks and the Europe Nations Trophy before, in Spain, before departing with members of the Irish team to play in the Australian Open Championship in Adelaide, in early April, where the World Amateur Team Championship will be played later in the year.
