Gold and Silver medals for Irish players at Lithuanian International 2011

Chloe Magee won two gold medals in the Lituanaian International Badminton tournament yesterday. She won the Gold medal in the Singles defeating her Icelandic opponent in 2 sets and the Mixed Doubles with her brother Sam defeating their Polish opponents 21-19 in the third and final set.    

Silver medals were won by Scott Evans in the Men’s Singles and Sam Magee and Tony Stephenson in the Men’s Doubles to compete a great week for Irish Badminton.

Scott Evans and Chloe Magee are funded under the International Carding Scheme. Badminton Ireland receives support under the Irish  Sports Council’s High Performance Programme.
