Three-day stint taking place ahead of full squad meeting up

Three uncapped players have been included in the Republic of Ireland squad for a three-day training camp in Fota Island Resort.

West Ham United youngster Declan Rice, Burnley defender Kevin Long and Preston North End midfielder Alan Browne have been drafted into Martin O'Neill's squad for the first time.

The trio joined a host of experienced players for the first of three days training behind closed doors on Wednesday. They will also be joined by Cork City goalkeepers Mark McNulty and Alan Smith.

A number of senior players will report into camp next week as preparations begin for the friendly against Mexico (June 1), the 'Three' International Friendly against Uruguay (June 4), and the 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Austria (June 11).
