Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine Annual Scientific Conference September 2011

Scientific Conference Friday 9 & Saturday 10 September 2011 in the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, St Stephen's Green, Dublin 2.

The Annual Scientific Conference organising Committee will dedicate a full session to the very important Topic of "Concussion"

There is a lack of knowledge and information for doctors, players, parents and officials on this very important subject of concussion.

We are offering an overview on the 'Zurich guidelines on Concussion' along with presentations from the Medical officers of the main National Governing Bodies on how they deal with concussion.

There will be a round-table discussion on the matter and it may be an opportunity for all medical officers involved with national governing bodies in sport to meet and to discuss concussion and develop a united stance for all sports people going forward.

As Professional Competence is now compulsory, this 2-day conference offers 11 External CPD Credits.
