The Centre is delighted that Declan Ryan, Co-Founder, The One Foundation and Dermot McCarthy, Secretary to the Government will share their insights on philanthropy in an interview session at this year's Summer School.. Also contributing will be Fintan O'Toole, The Irish Times, Prof Helmut Anheier, Centre for Social Investment, University of Heidelberg and LSE, Tina Roche, The Community Foundation for Ireland and many others.

Management Education Programme for Fundraisers - 18-22 May 2009, last places available!


Following positive feedback (see below) for the course in October 2008, the Centre for Nonprofit Management in partnership with the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University is presenting the five day course Principles & Techniques of Fundraising on 18-22 May 2009 at the IMI. This is Ireland's first programme delivering university based training in fundraising and philanthropy studies and is supported by The Ireland Funds.

The course provides an intensive A-Z training foundation for fundraising professionals at executive levels. Designed as a definitive fundraising education programme, it aims to assist those responsible for fundraising in Ireland achieve new levels of success and sustainability. During the course, a number of expert practitioners will share their knowledge and experience of the Irish nonprofit sector. Among the contributors will be Kingsley Aikins, President of The Ireland Funds, Richard Dixon, Concern, and Sheila Nordon, Irish Charities Tax Research Ltd.
