European Bronze Medal For Sian Williams
It was the final day for the Irish at the 2014 European Senior Championship with Sian Williams securing a bronze medal.
Starting off with the over 50's mixed Pam Peard and Nils Carlson took on the seeded Danish pair of Morten Christiansen & Anette Vollertzen sadly loosing 21-14, 21-17
In the quarterfinals of the O50's women's doubles, Pam Peard and Sian Williams played against Helle Sjoering and Annette Vollertzen of Denmark. After a hard fought match the Irish lost 21-14, 21-17
In the O60's men's doubles Brain McKee and Aavo Raig put on a impressive display against Sweden's Bengt Randsrom and Lars Wiinberg and led the first game. They were overtaken 24-22 and lost the second game 21-13
Sian Williams was up last against current world champion Lone Knudsen from Denmark. Knudsen's play was exemplary winning the match 21-18, 21-17
Well done to the whole team on there performance and to Sain for securing a 2014 European Senior Championship medal
