Dublin Horseshow European Champion wins the Irish Sports Council Classic

The reigning European Champion Frenchman, Kevin Sraut riding Major de Coquerie, won the main International Class showjumping event, the Irish Sports Council Classic, on the opening day of the Dublin Horseshow in the RDS yesterday. The European Champion came out best in a thrilling 18 horse jump-off. Second place went to the 2008 US Olympic gold medallist Laura Kraut and Cedric, with fellow American, Beezie Madden and Coral Reef Via Volo in third place. Best of the Irish was Cian O'Connor and Splendor in eight place.

Waterford rider, Paddy O'Donnell won the opening International Classs event, the Fلilte Stakes riding Harristown Princess.
