DCU Club Visit

DCU kicked off their season on Wednesday with team selection trials for anyone looking to take part in the Dublin District leagues, university league as well as the University team events such as ISBT and Inter Varsities. 

DCU Badminton Club meets on Monday’s from 6-8pm and Wednesday 2pm-4pm where a coach is present at these times to give tips and advice to players to improve their game. Thursdays from 8-10pm is for those players who just want to play socially and enjoy the game. DCU has grown and transformed over the last year as one of the most popular clubs in DCU with thanks to its newly appointed chairperson Francine Kwan and his dedicated committee driving the club forward.  

DCU Sports hall was a hive of activity on Wednesday afternoon with over 40 players competing for their places to represent DCU for the coming season. The atmosphere in the hall was fantastic and it was great to see so many students getting involved and enjoying the sport. DCU Badminton club is a fully inclusive club open to all levels of ability with a mixture of players from all different academic backgrounds.
