CYCLING FBD Insurance Ras

Stephen Gallagher (Ireland An Post M Donnelly Grant Thornton Sean Kelly) and David O Loughlin ( Irealnd Pezula Racing) capped a good week for irish riders in the FBD Insurance Ras with Stephen becoming the first Irish overall winner since David McCann in 2004 and David winning the final stage into Skerries.

The eight day international event ran from May 18th to 25th and featured stage finishes in Ballinamore, Claremorris, Lisdoonvarna, Tralee, Skibbereen, Clonmel, Roundwood, with the finish in Skerries on Sunday 25th.

The White Jersey, sponsored by the Irish Sports Council, for best under 23 rider, was won by Dale Appleby from the Britain Stenna Line Rapha Condor team.
