Cricket Operations Manager

Cricket Ireland is the governing body for the game at both performance and participation levels throughout Ireland, representing the interests of both the men’s and women’s game. The future of Irish Cricket is bright following the performance of the Men’s Senior team in the past four ICC World Cup events and significant wins against Full Member countries over the past 5 years.

This success has resulted in the rapid growth of the organisation and a significant increase in turnover, particularly commercial, through the maintenance of partnerships with blue-chip multi-nationals, such as RSA Insurance.  At the same time, our growth in playing strength has attracted the best teams in the world to play in Ireland, with teams such as England, Australia, West Indies, India, South Africa and Pakistan visiting these shores since 2007.

Cricket Ireland (CI) is seeking an individual with experience in cricket administration at either a professional or volunteer level who will manage our essential cricket and technical operations, as well as satisfy compliance procedures and protocols established by CI, the ICC and our Government funding agencies north and south.

Based in our Dublin HQ, and reporting into the Performance Director, the successful candidate will also have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of Cricket Ireland’s game technical activity, including for matches officials, grounds and facilities, anti-doping, anti-corruption etc.

The position offers a genuine opportunity for the successful candidate to help implement, deliver and evolve the smooth administrative running of Cricket Ireland to help ensure that we continue to be as successful off the field of play, as we are on it.

If this opportunity interests you, please email a CV and a covering letter addressed to Richard Holdsworth, Performance Director, to info@irishcricket.org. Please include “Cricket Operations Manager” in the subject box of your email.

Closing date for applications is Monday 7th January 2013.

Should you be successful in making the short-list following the application process, please note that interviews will take place on Tuesday January 15th 2013.
