Cricket Irish Squad named for ICC Women's World Cup

Cricket Ireland have announced their squad of 14 players ahead of the ICC Women's Cricket Challenge which takes place in Potchefstroom from October 6 to 16.

The competition is for teams placed 5th to 10th in the world rankings, and will see the teams play in a mix of fifty and twenty over fixtures, with Ireland playing 8 games in total during the intensive tournament.

There are three Irish Under 17 players in the squad as well as uncapped Nikki Symmons, who will all be playing under new captain Ciara Metcalfe.
