Cricket Ireland: Our Hearts are as Big as Theirs

The Irish Sports Council is developing a unique series of digital videos capturing the ongoing progress of Ireland's elite athletes. The purpose of this new initiative, entitled 'The Journey' is to provide an authentic insight into the sacrifice, commitment and dedication of our elite athletes and create a unique connection through digital innovation.

While most people only ever see the one day when the athlete performs, The Journey aims to show what happens on the other 364 days to get them to that point and the ongoing cycle thereafter.

Our latest Journey features Cricket Ireland and includes two short videos documenting:

• "Our Hearts are as Big as Theirs" | The Irish Cricket Team talk about what it takes to beat the giants
• In the Blood | John Mooney on why Cricket is the best game in the world.

A micro-site has been developed www.thejourney.ie to host the digital videos and is supported by a portfolio of images in the photo gallery and social interaction.
