Cragg, Britton and Reilly post World and Olympic standards

Alistair Cragg (Clonliffe Harriers) clocked his third fastest 5,000m time ever - 13:12.21 - at the Samsung Diamond League in weather battered New York yesterday. He ran a solid race to finish eight and his time is inside the standard for both World championships and London Olympics.


Both Fionnuala Britton (Kilcoole AC) and Stephanie Reilly (Sli Cualann AC) also raced inside World and Olympic standards in the women's 3,000m steeplechase. Britton ran most of the race on her own to finish fifth in 9:37.60, with Reilly two places back in a time of 9:42.91 - both new PBs.


David Gillick (Dundrum South Dublin was fourth in the B 400m in 46.64 and Jason Smyth (City of Derry AC) was fifth in the B 100m in 10.60.
