Colin Lynch Races to Silver in Rio

Ireland’s Colin Lynch has secured the silver medal in the C2 Time Trial Road Race with a time of 28:02.25, finishing behind Canada's Tristen Chernove with bronze going to Spain's Maurice Far Eckhard Tio.

Congratulating Colin on today’s medal win, Chairman of Sport Ireland, Kieran Mulvey, said: “Colin has had continued success over the last number of years having won two golds in 2015 on the UCI World Cup circuit, and a silver medal at the 2016 UCI Para-Cycling Road World Cup in Ostend.

“Having narrowly missed out on the podium at the London Games, today’s medal win is truly deserved and on behalf of Sport Ireland I would like to congratulate Colin and all at Paralympics Ireland.”
