Clark Holds Two Top Five Places At Bramham After Cross Country
Irish Olympian Aoife Clark currently holds two top five spots in the leaderboard at the three-star Bramham event in England.
The Dublin-born 32 year-old is in second place with the Irish Sport Horse mare Fenya's Elegance after today's (Saturday) cross country phase, a jump of nine places from her position after dressage, and she also holds fourth place with Vaguely North, an improvement of two places since yesterday.
Clark now puts strong pressure on British overnight leader Izzy Taylor and Orlando, whose remarkable dressage score of 28.1 had given her a substantial lead after the first phase. Clark's strong performance today leaves her just over three points adrift of Taylor, with Sunday's all-important show jumping phase deciding the overall winner.
Ireland's Mark Kyle with the Irish Sport Horse Coolio is in 12th place after cross country at Bramham.
