Playing Mexican visitor Haramara Gaitan,  Stephenson won the opening set, but let the second slip. In the deciding third, she fought her way back from a 15-20 deficit to take the set and with it the match at 23-21.

In the other women's semi-final, Ireland's Rachael Darragh beat Mexican Sabrina Solis despite dropping the middle set. Darragh won the opening set 21-12, and after losing the second 12-21, fought her way back into the match to win the third 21-15, and set up a meeting with fellow Irish international Stephenson in the final.

In the men's singles, the top two seeds won through to the final in straight sets with Ramon Garrido of Mexico beating Ireland's Mark Brady and Wolfgang Gnedt from Austria getting the better of Norman Lau  of Ireland.

In the women's doubles semi-finals, Stephenson and Keady Smith beat Moya Ryan and Megan Bredin, and in the final will face Darragh and Sara Boyle  who put out Mexico's Gaitan and Solis.

In two all-Irish men's doubles semi finals, Ireland's Ross and Matthew Lightbody beat Jonathan Harron and Ryan Stewart, while Mark Brady and Nicholas Murphy defeated James Buckley and Liam Pingree.

Through to the mixed doubles final are Ryan Stewart and Keady Smith and Matthew Lightbody with Moya Ryan.
