BOXING The Cubans are Coming

This Friday night in the National Stadium is destined to be an unforgettable one as the Cuban National Boxing team take on the might of the Four Nations team, which includes seven Irish National Champions. The first of ten bouts gets underway at 7.30pm when Conor Ahern takes on Ivan Perez Prevot. Friday night gives Irish boxing fans a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the best amateur boxer in the world, double Olympic champion Mario Kindelman in action. Ireland's Athens Olympian Andy Lee will step into the ring after Mario to take on Yordanis Despaigne Herrera who narrowly beat him 16 # 12 in the first leg in Liverpool last weekend so it is set to be an thrilling encounter, among others.
