Badminton Irish players make winning starts at World Championships.

Following the Day One successes of Chloe Magee in the Women's Singles and Sam Magee and Tony Stephenson in Men's Doubles, Irish players maintained their 100% record on Day Two at the World Badminton Championships.

In the Men's Singles, Scott Evans had a straight sets win, 21-15,21-16 against Austrian Michael Lahnsteiner.

Just over an hour later, Chloe and Sam Magee came from a set behind to defeat their French opponents, Baptiste Careme and Laura Choinet, 18-21, 22-20, 21-19 in the Mixed Doubles.

All the Irish players are now in the last 32 of the Championships.
